On the 30 June 2009, in consistency with
the Decree by the Council of Ministers, Special Economic Zone Euro-Park
Mielec was broadened and the Subzone Zamosc was created. The Subzone
Zamosc spreads on the area of almost 35 hectares of land in the following
locations:
1. Szczebrzeska district covers 27 ha of land in the western part of Zamosc.
In the immediate vicinity of this area there is an important route no.74 connecting
the centre of Poland with the border crossing with Ukraine in Zosin. In close
proximity of this land the Customs House is planned to be built soon. There is
also the intention of extending the plot by 19 ha more.
2. Starowiejska district covers the area of 7,57 ha in the eastern part of Zamosc,
next to the route no.17 leading from Warsaw to the border crossing with Ukraine
in Hrebenne.
Investing in the Special Economic Subzone Zamosc is very beneficial since entrepreneurs
conducting business activity can obtain public assistance in the form of income
tax exemptions as well as other preferences. The public aid is granted due to
expenditure on:
- new investment
- creation of new jobs
The corporate tax exemption based on investment is :
- 50 % of the total expenditures for large entrepreneurs,
-
60 % for medium size
and
-
70 % for small
size entrepreneurs.
The investment expenditures within the Subzone Zamosc that qualify
for aid are:
- purchase of parcels ownership or perpetual usufruct rights
-
purchasing or
own fabrication of fixed assets development and modernization of existing
fixed assets
-
the purchase intangible assets associated with technological
transfer through
the acquirement of patents, licences, know-how, or technical knowledge.
In case of entrepreneurs other than small and medium size the investment
expenditures can be increased maximum up to 50 % .
The condition for obtaining the aid is conducting business activity and
sustaining fixed assets for at least 5 years for large and 3 years for
small and medium
size entrepreneurs.The maximum amount of corporate tax exemption based
on the creation of new jobs is 50 % of the total value of two-year labor
costs
resulting
from hiring of new
employees for large entrepreneurs, 60 % for medium size and 70 % for small
size entrepreneurs.
Large entrepreneurs must keep newly created jobs for a period of time no
shorter than 5 years, while small and medium size ones for 3 years.
The tax exemptions mentioned above are given only for activity undertaken
in the area of the Special Economic Subzone Zamosc.
From 26 October 2009 the Subzone Zamosc offers special public support,
called regional support for investors. The Town Council, which passed the
resolution
decided that active businessmen who will make new investments and employ
new staff can be given exemption from property tax.
